Hiccup's Dagger is a small dagger/knife that Hiccup uses in the first two films of How to Train Your Dragon. He used this for killing dragons before he eventually used it for sharpening his pencil. It is likely that he also uses it for cutting and chopping objects, or as a weapon.
By the second film, he keeps it in a specially made holster on his flightsuit that he keeps strapped to his arm, in much the same manner he keeps Inferno strapped to his leg.
History[]
How to Train Your Dragon[]
Hiccup had a dagger when he went to find the Night Fury he shot down. Once he found it, he was about to kill it but instead used it to release Toothless. Later on, he had it again where he threw it in the nearby pond to give Toothless food. At some point, Hiccup manage to get the dagger or got a new one and used it several times in the tv series.
Dragons: Riders of Berk[]
This section requires expansion. |
In "Twinsanity", Hiccup used his dagger to "defend" Dagur from the "Dragon Attack'" on Berk.
Dragons: Defenders of Berk[]
In "The Night and the Fury", Hiccup used his dagger to free Toothless from the bolas Dagur threw at him.
Dragons: Race to the Edge[]
In “Darkest Night”, Hiccup's dagger reappear in Astrid’s what-if senario, and like in the first movie, Hiccup uses it to free Toothless instead of killing him.
How to Train Your Dragon 2[]
In the film, Hiccup only uses the dagger once to sharpen his pencil before drawing Itchy Armpit on his map.
