The Grimler Dragon is similar to the Deadly Nadder in appearance. Probably twice as large though, and looming over as if its head were weighted. The Grimler is a dastardly beast that thrashes apart entire structures with its talon tipped feet. With seven claws per foot, the Grimler Dragon's kicks could easily kill a man. It's rumored to be allergic to cornmeal, but no Viking has ever tested this theory. This particular dragon loves silk and will spare an entire village if it spots a single scrap of this delicate fabric in it. Grimlers have been tamed for years using "The silk method".

In the booksEdit

In How to Break a Dragon's Heart, Alvin's mother states that when Grimbeard the Ghastly left Hiccup Horrendous Haddock II on the side of a mountain, a male Grimler Dragon found him, and took him to a female Grimler, which looked after him. They later adopted Furious, who became Hiccup Horrendous Haddock II's foster brother.
