The Meathead Public Library is located on the island of the Meatheads, and it is owned and guarded by the Hairy Scary Librarian. It is in fact, not a public library, as Vikings are not allowed to read books. (The one exception for the Hooligans being How to Train Your Dragon by Professor Yobbish). Outside, it is also guarded by Meatheads and their Driller-Dragons.

A Hero's Guide to Deadly Dragons
In A Hero's Guide to Deadly Dragons, Hiccup and Camicazi have to go to the library, with their dragons, due to a burglary contest between the Hairy Hooligans and the Bog-Burglars. The Hairy Hooligans had lost every round, and in a final round, Stoick gave Big-Boobied Bertha a bet, that the Hooligans had stolen something better than the Bog-Burglars. Stoick was going to show How To Train Your Dragon, from the Meathead Library, but Hiccup discovers Toothless has burnt it. So they go to the library to get a replacement. While he was at the library, Hiccup discovered the existence of his predecessor Hiccup Horrendous Haddock II during a Driller-Dragon attack.
