Mrs. Ack appears briefly in the movie, How to Train Your Dragon 2, and then is mentioned in the graphic novel, The Serpent's Heir.

On the Eve of the Second Dragon War

At the beginning of How to Train Your Dragon 2, Stoick heads to the blacksmith shop to help out Gobber and his tribesmen and women. Hiccup tags along, trying to tell Stoick about an encounter he just had. Stoick almost runs into Mrs. Ack carrying her sleeping baby Gronckle while he was speaking to Spitelout. While waiting outside the blacksmith shop, Mrs. Ack overhears Hiccup tell Stoick that Drago Bludvist means to enslave all Dragons.

During the Second Dragon War

Mrs. Ack is seen standing next to Hoark the Haggard and other unnamed Vikings when Drago Bludvist reveals that Stoick is dead. She is later seen huddling behind a building clutching her unnamed daughter along with Hoark the Haggard and another unnamed man as Drago's Bewilderbeast attacks Berk.

Aftermath of the Second Dragon War

According to the graphic novel, The Serpent's Heir, in the aftermath of the attack by Drago Bludvist, the Scuttleclaw Hatchlings seen in the second movie have taken up residence on Berk. Hiccup, now Chief, leaves Gobber in charge while he leaves to help the people of Nepenthe. The brood of Scuttleclaws wreak havoc to Gobber's shop, chewing on everything and not listening. Gobber laments for someone else to take charge, and names Ack, Mrs. Ack, and Starkard.

"Anyone else want to try being in charge? Starkard? Ack? Mrs. Ack?"
―Gobber in The Serpent's Heir

Physical Appearance

Mrs. Ack appears to be a stout woman of short stature with brown hair and possible brown eyes. Her hair is long, kept in braids wrapped into buns on her head.

  • Mrs. Ack does not have a speaking part, but is named by Stoick when he almost runs into her.
