The ohmmeter only appears during the quest The Almighty Thor. During this quest, the player and Heather are attempting to find the best substance to insulate the Thor Statue and prevent it from being struck by lightning. Eventually, after placing several objects on the ohmmeter and using a Skrill's lightning shot to measure the ohms, it is determined that rubber is the best insulator, allowing the player to bring some to Snotlout's Sentry Station to insulate the statue.
