Savagers are a dangerous dragon species mentioned in several of the later books in the How to Train Your Dragon Book series.

Physical Appearance[]

There is no pictorial reference or description of Savagers in the Book Series, but they are mentioned in the Dragon Key in The Incomplete Book of Dragons. They are classified as Sea Dragons and have "extra-scary teeth".

Savager eggs are shown to have a typical egg shape and a light brown color with some darker flecks.

Weaknesses[]

Savagers are shown to be vulnerable against heavy artillery fire:

The Savager is an extremely aggressive and dangerous dragon species. It was one of the many species that had joined the Dragon Rebellion.

Savagers are first mentioned in Book 11 where some were sleeping along a river bank in the Murderous Mountains along with other dragons of the Rebellion.

How to Fight a Dragon's Fury[]

Savagers are referred to again in Book 12, as one of the many dragon species fighting against the Vikings.

The Incomplete Book of Dragons[]

A Savager eggs appears in the Dragon Eggs section of this reference book, and are mentioned in the 'Dragon Key' at the back of the book.
