===An Old Foe===
One night on Berk I had woken up to a sound. A familiar sound that I had not heard for many years. It couldn't be, could it?

The next day, there was a giant hole in the plaza. I knew who made it. It was a dragon I had met a long time ago. Bucket was in the tunnel and then was suddenly pushed out. This dragon was looking for me. I jumped into the tunnel to find him. What I didn't realise is that he soon emerged from his hole; the Whispering Death! By the time I had gotten back up, the other dragons were about to face him. I told them to back off. My old wild nature had overtaken me. The Whispering Death glared at me, and then striked. He was avoiding my shots, so I had decided to fly. In the moment of facing my old foe, I had forgotten that I can't without Hiccup.

"Looks like you have gone soft, my enemy," The dragon hissed.

Hiccup tried to get on my back, but I pushed him aside. This was my fight. The Whispering Death then shot a spike into my back leg. When Gobber hit him with the catapults, the dragon burrowed away. When he was gone and I saw Hiccup, I calmed down. I let him take the spike out of my leg, but I couldn't relax. The Whispering Death had found me after all these years.
===The Search===
Later that night, Hiccup was treating my injury. I was still on edge from this morning. Stoick came up to check on me, and was sure that the dragon wouldn't come back. After Hiccup finished, I layed down on my bed and waited for him to fall asleep. One he did, I left to find my enemy. He wasn't going to stop until he finished me. I knew I would hurt Hiccup if I left him, but this was something I had to do alone.

The Scarriest moment in my life. I woke up to be.... Wait maybe I should explain how I got this far.

So, it started with the haddock. Hiccup always told me not to eat it to fast, but it is so good I ate it all... Even the spoon. So the next day after Tantrum O'UGerly and Gobber with underpants on his head we went to collect honey (fake). I had done some summersaults and Toothless's poor tummy was hurting, but no mean, old, Master Hiccup didn't care.

I think it would be cool if there was this like ultra powerful dragon that was locked up and needed a sacrificial ritual to bring out. Whoever preformed the ritual could control the dragon, so the outcasts and Alvin would try to kidnap Hiccup to use him as the sacrficie.

Nevertheless, I watched him raise the dagger, and I closed my eyes waiting for the blow... But he didn't strike. He was cutting the ropes instead! Once I was free, I pinned him to the ground. I looked in his eyes. Now he knew HE was the one who was going to be killed. I raised my head... and roared in his ear. Then I tried to fly away. But I wonder, why didn't I kill him? What held me back? Was it the same reason why he didn't kill me? I wonder...

I did what no dragon should ever had done; I brought humans to our nest. By the time I came to my senses, we were already inside. Hiccup, who trusted me, deserved to know the truth about us. When Hiccup and Astrid saw the Red Death, they were just as terrified as the rest of us. We had to get out of there, ASAP.

Always alone. I could see eveything about his past when I looked into his eyes that first time. I looked at him... and I saw myself.

 The others were wrapping up when the Red Death began to suck Astrid and the Deadly Nadder in. I blasted the large dragon and caught Astrid. But I checked just to make sure. She smiled at me and I smiled back (I had been working on that). After dropping her off, Hiccup and I got the Red Death to fly after us. We hid in the dark clouds above us to use as a cover while blasting at its wings. This really got it mad and it sent out a large plume of fire, and it got my new tail. We only had one shot left. I knew if we were going to succeed, I would have to put all my faith in Hiccup. We tricked the Red Death to follow us into a dive. Just before he blasted us, I sent a fire ball in his mouth, causing his gas to ignite. When the Red Death saw we were about to crash it tried to slow itself down by opening its wings. But all that blasting I did burned holes in it wings and it crashed to the ground in a firey explosion. Hiccup and I tried to fly out but by now my tail was gone, and we collided into the Red Death's. I was okay, but Hiccup was knocked off and was unconsicous. The fear of losing him came back, and I dived into the fire after him. A dragon' hide is fire proof, so I used by wings to shield him from the explosion. And we crashed to the ground.
 ===The Awakening/ New Life===
-When I came to, Hiccup's father was there. Vikings and dragons were behind him. Even after all this I didn't know what to think of him. He sadly said he was sorry to his son, believing he was dead. I saw he truely does love Hiccup, so I unwrapped my wings and showed him that I had saved Hiccup. Everybody, both humans ans dragons, cheered in happiness. Hiccup's father thanked me for saving him.

He was pretty surprised that I was there. Then Hiccup looked at his feet, feeling sothething was different. I may have saved Hiccup's life, but I couldn't save all of him. His left foot was severely burned from the fire and was replaced with a new one. He struggled to walk at first, so I helped him. I lost my left tail fin and Hiccup lost his left leg, we were now truly connected. But there was one more surprise waiting for Hiccup.
-When he opened the door, Hiccup saw both dragons and vikings living together. After the battle, we had finally made peace with each other now that the Red Death was gone. The humans allowed us to stay with them. Everyone gave Hiccup a real hero's welcome. Then a viking named Gobber, the same guy who made Hiccup's new leg, gave him my new saddle and tail. I was so excited about flying with Hiccup agian I jumped on some of the vikings. As Hiccup and I flew through the village, I realized I now had a real home and family. I left my old life behind me and looked to the future. I promised myself that I would protect Hiccup and never leave his side. He and I were not only best friends, but we had a bond. A bond that could never be broken. I know there will be new challanges ahead now that we made our peace with the people of Berk, but as long as Hiccup is by my side, I know everything will be fine.

 *It is possible that they are based off the Red-Hot Itchyworms, as they look similar and have very similar attributes.
 *In the episode, it is stated that the Fireworm's skin burns as hot as the sun. The [[Deadly Nadder]]'s flame is supposed to burn with the heat of the sun, so logically touching a Fireworm should be the same as being hit with a Deadly Nadder's flame.

 Fishlegs then boards the ship, and confronts Snotlout. Although at first he is perfectly calm, mocking Fishlegs as usual. But Snotlout quickly becomes frightened as Fishlegs explodes with rage, tears and digs through Snotlout's things and corners him against the railing of the ship. Fishlegs darkly tells Snotlout that he can make fun of him, and mock his knowledge of dragons, but that he will never permit him to separate a baby dragon from its mother. Bucket and Mulch, who are observing this, advise Snotlout to give Fishlegs the egg. Meatlug finds the egg hidden under a basket. Fishlegs grabs it, and angrily tells Snotlout that he is going to take the egg. Terrified, Snotlout does not protest. He then leaves to return the egg.
